Recreational water Schroevendaalse plas

The Schroevendaalse plas, like all other Maas lakes, came into being through gravel extraction. Close to this lake is the Dilkensplas where you can have a nice time on the day beach. At the Schroevendaal lake you find a marina.

This marina has a passing port. This is for boats up to 16 metres. You can then make use of all the facilities that the marina and campsite have to offer. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead and their owners always carry a dog waste bag. This marina also has a trailer slipway.

Brasserie de Maasterp is located on top of the dike and serves coffee, lunch and an extensive dinner. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the lake and the marina. In the autumn, the Schroevendaalse plas is a particularly good place to fish. There are large carps and pikes. Visibility is generally good and there are plenty of fish in the lake.

This lake is also a great place for walking. The walking route Beautiful places Eiland in de Maas (12.3 km) passes the three gravel lakes of Ohé and Laak. These are the Teggerse plas, the Dilkensplas and the Schroevendaalseplas. This beautiful walking route also passes the geleenbeek. The route passes through Stevensweert and Ohé en Laak, these villages are situated between two arms of the Maas. This unique location has made the history of both villages.
