Working together for nature
The Kempen and Midden-Limburg management unit, with its office in Swartbroek (Weert), works to protect nature in the Maasvallei, KempenBroek, Dommeldal and many areas in between. The management team works closely with local partners and volunteers.
Nature in motion for climate and biodiversity
These nature reserves are constantly changing. In the Maasvallei, no less than 1,100 hectares of new nature are being developed through the Grensmaas project. KempenBroek is being designed as a natural climate buffer. This gives characteristic plants and animals more opportunities and creates a varied landscape that can retain water. This is especially important during periods of drought.
