Along windmills, villages and water
You can start the cycling route at Hompesche Molen in Stevensweert, but you can also join at any junction. From Stevensweert, you cycle via Ohé en Laak to Maasbracht, Wessem, Heel and Panheel. Along the way, you pass three windmills, each with its own place in the landscape. That gives the route not only rhythm, but also a sense of history.
Culture and nature along the way
During the ride, you pass the locks of Maasbracht, where you see the largest water level difference in the Netherlands. You also pass Hasselholt Castle and Boschmolenplas. Together with the other lakes along the route, this lake is part of the Maasplassen. This creates a setting of shores, open water and wide views that stays with you throughout the route.

Along the way, you pass Hompesche Molen in Stevensweert, Leonardusmolen in Maasbracht and Sint Lindertmolen in Beegden. Anyone cycling the route can easily combine the ride with a visit to one of these windmills.
