Between the Limburg village of Montfort and the German border, the nature reserve Het Sweeltje is located along the Vlootbeek. The hiking route the Castle Happiness of Montfort takes you to Montfort Castle, which dates back to 1260 and was one of the largest castles in the Netherlands for centuries. An impressive castle ruin recalls this, of which two corner towers and several large cellars have been restored in recent years.
Estate Rozendaal is located between Montfort and Sint Joost. The grave monument in Montfort was erected in memory of the 186 war victims from Montfort and surrounding villages.
