From 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, Nieuwe Markt in Weert becomes the setting for Weerter Winterparadijs. Inside a covered 1,100 m² pavilion, you will find a large real-ice skating rink. You can go skating, take part in activities together and warm up in the Wintercafé.
Programme
Throughout Weerter Winterparadijs, you can enjoy public skating and curling on many days. On several Fridays, the rink turns into a lively setting for disco skating with music and movement. Children and beginner skaters can join skating lessons and use dedicated moments to take their first steps on the ice. Santa Claus also visits several times. Other activities during the event include Clay Café, Dutchtuber & Friends, Winternacht van de Swaen, Those Were The Days and the WK Darts.
Skating and warming up in the Wintercafé
After a few laps on the ice, head to the heated Wintercafé. The menu includes Liège waffles, cheese fondue and German sausages. From the café, you can look out over the activities and hear the sounds from the ice rink and curling lane. It is an easy way to combine skating with spending time together.
